Feltre - Visit to Oasis Vincheto Celarda
A NATURE RESERVE
A short distance from the town of Feltre, between Mount Miesna and the Piave, is the Natural Reserve of animal and plant populations "of Vincheto Celarda.
Around 12 thousand visitors a year attend the oasis, with free admission, given a concession to the Ministry of Agriculture in 1881. In 1977 Vincheto was made available to the Council of Europe, with another 40 nature reserves of the State, for its inclusion in the European network of biogenetic reserves, effectively ratified 18 November 1992.
Celarda Once in, a fraction of Feltre, including streams and green there is ample parking at the entrance of the reserve managed by the State Forestry Corps. Once through the gate you are in the main street, left the station control office with information and, further, the picnic area, fishing center on the right. The richness of plant species, 400, is combined with that of birds, land and water. The pleasure of a walk on the long flat roads, strictly by foot, is the company of deer, roe deer, and before curiosity useful for teaching activities that they see the accession of many schools and institutions.
There is also a riding school, open for practice riding, because it is based here in the Department of Forestry horse, that summer, for example, performs services in seaside resorts as Bibione.
We find Paul, an officer pens and fish, while bringing food to the deer. Thus we know that their food is wet beet, already fragmented. We also know that animals usually breed in captivity and a total of four precincts, there are 11 deer, 4 deer and 12 deer.
For two years the reserve is also host an eagle, injured during a fire in Valle del Mis and delivered by the Ente Parco Nazionale Dolomiti Belluno. In Vincheto, trees and water, a few steps away from deer, geese and ducks, found a house built to his measure.
